I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in April of 2006, which spared my daughter’s and my life. The experience not only left me with emotional scars, it also disfigured my body serving as a daily reminder to the horrific event. After numerous surgeries, months of hospitalization, and painful therapy I was able to rejoice the life I was spared. In June of 2007 I gave birth to my son Nathaniel, a true miracle. After burning my “baby fat” and shedding nearly 40lbs I still had a mommy pouch, stretch marks and a thick rope like scar running down my belly.
