I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in April of 2006, which spared my daughter’s and my life. The experience not only left me with emotional scars, it also disfigured my body serving as a daily reminder to the horrific event. After numerous surgeries, months of hospitalization, and painful therapy I was able to rejoice the life I was spared. In June of 2007 I gave birth to my son Nathaniel, a true miracle. After burning my “baby fat” and shedding nearly 40lbs I still had a mommy pouch, stretch marks and a thick rope like scar running down my belly. Seeking advice from friends and family I began experimenting with every homeopathic remedy, expensive tubes of creams, lotions, and even teas all with no results. Feeling self conscience about my body, I consulted with a renowned plastic surgeon for help, but was disillusioned with the results that he “would not and cannot operated due to my mesh” that served to secure my upper belly together. Soon vacationing in a bikini became more of a memory than a dream.
Knowing little to nothing about alternative scar treatments, I was excited when I first heard of Carboxytherapy treatments. Knowing I had to do it since it was minimally invasive and had no down time, meaning I can go home and be mommy. I have since had five treatments with beautiful results! At first we started with just my scar, but when I noticed a significant improvement to the appearance of my scar I decided to also treat my stretch marks that served as more of a road map.
After every treatment I noticed my scars fading and almost disappearing, I began to have sensation that I had once lost due to the damaged nerves, I began to bleed at the injection sites (a good thing since that just meant increased blood circulation to the area) and my scars were no longer keloid they are actually flush to my skin. An added bonus was that my belly was sculpted, as if I had been doing 500 daily crunches. I am beyond words with the results of my treatments, it did not only take away my scars but it gave me my confidence back.
Thank you Linell, I love you. You are endowed with a true healing hand, and for that I am most deeply indebted to you.
